Mobile left-hander Patrick Corbin and Carolina infielder Mike Costanzo won the Southern League's weekly awards.
Corbin had a 26 2/3-inning scoreless streak snapped Thursday at Birmingham. He took a shutout into the eighth inning and won his fourth straight start. Corbin gave up one run on four hits with one walk and 10 strikeouts.
Costanzo was 10-for-23 with six runs scored, three home runs and four RBIs for the week that ended Sunday. He's hitting .288 with a .901 OPS this year. Costanzo's ninth-inning home run last Monday at Chattanooga capped a comeback from a 5-0 deficit and gave the Mudcats a 6-5 win.
