Daniel Mayora doubled and scored in the eighth inning to give the Biscuits a 2-1 win over the Jacksonville Suns on Sunday. It was the second straight day Mayora scored Montgomery's winning run. He hit a 10th-inning home run Saturday in a 5-4 victory.
On Sunday, he led off the eighth with a double and moved to third on a Nevin Ashley bunt. Henry Wrigley doubled down the left-field line -- a chopper over a drawn-in infield -- to bring home Mayora.
Reliever Paul Phillips (2-4) picked up the win with three shutout innings. Jim Paduch, in his first start with the Biscuits, allowed one run over five innings. Zach Quate worked the ninth for his ninth save.
