Nevin Ashley's broken hand isn't the first for a Rays minor league catcher this year.
Charlotte's Luke Bailey is also out with a broken right hand, farm director Mitch Lukevics said. Bailey hasn't played since April 14 and will be "out for a while," Lukevics said. He's still on the Stone Crabs' active roster and is able to catch bullpens.
The Rays have a long list of hurt catchers this year ...
Robinson Chirinos (concussion)
Jose Lobaton (shoulder)
Chris Gimenez (groin, has returned)
Ashley (broken hand)
Bailey (broken hand)
