Corey Smith and Andy Wilkins both homered to help the Birmingham Barons complete a five-game sweep of the Biscuits with a 5-3 win Sunday.
Smith hit a two-run shot to cap a three-run third inning that gave Birmingham the lead. Wilkins led off the sixth with a blast to right.
The Biscuits were swept in a five-game home series for just the third time. The Jacksonville Suns took five games in June 2007 and April 2008.
Montgomery was last swept at home in a three-game series with the Barons in July 2010. The Biscuits have suffered five-game sweeps on the road twice: at Birmingham in July and August 2009.
Biscuits infielder Cole Figueroa walked three times and had two RBIs. Figueroa has reached base in every game this season and, dating to last year, has a 27-game on-base streak, which ranks third in team history.
Hak-Ju Lee had two of Montgomery's six hits, walked and scored twice. After a bunt single in the fifth, he scored on a Henry Wrigley groundout. In the ninth, he scored on a Figueroa groundout.
