9 Biscuits have felt Fenway fever

Watching the 100th birthday celebration today from Fenway Park, it hit me that a few Biscuits may have some Fenway experience. The Hudson Valley Renegades are New York-Penn League rivals of the Lowell Spinners, who regularly have an annual game there.

Sure enough, the Renegades were part of the Fenway game in 2007 and 2008.

In 2007, Emeel Salem, Greg Sexton and Henry Wrigley were in the lineup. In 2008, Shane Dyer and Kyeong Kang started, Neil Schenk was a reliever and Mark Thomas came off the bench. Catcher David Wendt is from Massachusetts and has gone to numerous games there. Manager Billy Gardner visited there when his dad was a major league manager.

Look for more in Saturday's notebook. (By the way, for those who saw it, were you also hoping that Bucky Dent would be among the honorees?)
