St. James graduate Brandon Kloess was the winning pitcher Saturday for the Birmingham Barons in an 8-7 win over the Biscuits.
Kloess pitched the bottom of the eighth, getting out of a bases-loaded situation, before Barons left fielder Justin Greene homered to lead off the ninth.
With two outs in the bottom of the eighth, Kloess hit Kyeong Kang with a pitch and walked Montgomery's next two hitters. Hak-Ju Lee, who hit a two-run double in the second inning, grounded out to end the threat.
