Left-hander James Houser, a former Biscuit who reached the majors with the Marlins, is back in baseball after missing all of last season. He's with the independent York Revolution.
Houser couldn't pass a physical last year for the Baltimore Orioles after having surgery to repair an enlarged aorta. Houser is the second item in a York Daily Record notebook.
Also in the story, the Rays have signed right-hander Lance Pendleton from Sugar Land, an Atlantic League rival of York's. Pendleton is headed to Durham. Thirdly, former Biscuits infielder Chris Nowak is with York, too.
