Mason: Put Thayer in brown

Biscuits pitcher Chris Mason, of dyed-hair and winning fame, picked Montgomery's stopper as an ideal choice to join him on the bottle brigade.

"The best one over there would probably be Dale Thayer, and I’d say the perfect color that would suit him would be just plain brown," Mason cracked. "He’s as plain as it gets and always talks in a monotone voice. I’d say his hair being a plain brown would be perfect."

Thayer smiled over Mason's choice. The two are roommates in Montgomery.

"Oh, he threw me under the bus," said Thayer, claiming Mason is more subdued at their apartment. "He’s a little better there, but we just play video games and eat food. That’s about it."

By the way, kudos to David Bundy for the illustration. Bundy also did the spring All-Metro MVP award photos that were well received.

What color do you want to see next from Mason? I'll take a nice bright blue.
