Dahl, formerly at Trinity, was best in Pioneer League

David Dahl, the former Trinity student who was a first-round draft pick in June, won the Pioneer League's most valuable player.

Dahl hit .373 with 60 runs scored and 55 RBIs in 66 games for the Grand Junction Rockies. With 39 extra-base hits, the outfielder had a .601 slugging percentage. Dahl went 10th overall to Colorado out of Oak Mountain High near Birmingham.
