Mississippi Braves clubbie extends streak

Mississippi's Destin Smith has continued the longest-running dynasty in the Southern League. He's been named the league's best visiting clubhouse attendant for a fourth consecutive season.

The Southern League named its non-field staff award winners Thursday. Along with Smith, Birmingham's Josh Fallin won trainer of the year and Chattanooga's Joe Fitzgerald groundskeeper of the year.

Fallin has been with the Barons for two seasons and part of the Chicago White Sox organization for 14. Fitzgerald has been Chattanooga's groundskeeper for two years.
