Former Auburn All-American, LSU quarterback signee best in Southern League week

Huntsville Stars first baseman Hunter Morris, who capped his MVP season by feasting on the Biscuits, also won the Southern League's final hitter of the week award.

Chattanooga right-hander Zach Lee, a former LSU quarterback signee, was the final pitcher of the week.

After starting the week with a 1-for-7, solo-home run pair of games against Birmingham, Morris exploded in four games against the Biscuits. The former Auburn All-American was 9-for-16 with three home runs and nine RBIs.

Lee won both of his final-week starts, allowing one run on six hits in a combined 12 innings. Lee, after a midseason promotion from low-Class A Great Lakes, was 0-3 with a 7.58 ERA in his first seven Chattanooga starts.

The 20-year-old shined over his final six starts. He was 4-0 with a 1.50 ERA and 30 strikeouts in those 36 innings.
