Pensacola Blue Wahoos outfielder Josh Fellhauer, who finished one hit shy of the league batting title, was the Southern League's player of the month for August/September.
Fellhauer hit .372 and had a .505 on-base percentage after the calebdar turned to August. Had he collected one more hit (or Montgomery's Omar Luna one less), Fellhauer would have been the batting champ.
