Checking on Bulls in Gwinnett

I know some Biscuits fans headed up here over the weekend. I couldn't make it until today to see the Durham Bulls take on the Gwinnett Braves. Nice-enough stadium here in ... let me see ... Lawrenceville, Ga. The seats are tight on the lines, so we can't see into the corners from behind home plate.

Talked to some of the Bulls before the game, most for a story that we're planning for just before the draft. Talked for a while to Elliot Johnson, Reid Brignac and Wade Davis. David Price was friendly as usual, though he added: "I know I stink right now." He's 1-4 with a 4.74 ERA and 16 walks in 24 2/3 innings.

The Bulls added pitcher Joe Bateman from extended spring training Sunday and are still awaiting infielder Joe Dillon's arrival. He's expected soon.

No updates?

Nope. Unless you'd like to read 50 inches of quotes for that story that will appear in a few weeks. (And I'm not sharing them.)

Bulls are losing 3-0 in the bottom of the seventh.

I also have to hook in to the internet through my Blackberry, and it doesn't have unlimited battery nor do I have the cord.

I can live with that.

I am about to give you one on David Price.

And Bateman was impressive in his Durham debut, striking out two in one perfect inning and looking filthy.
