J.J. Furmaniak knocked in Leslie Anderson in the fifth inning. Brandon Guyer had two hits. Dirk Hayhurst, in his first start since an April injury, allowed four runs in 4 1/3 innings.

Mark Thomas hit a three-run home run in the sixth and Greg Sexton also had three RBIs. Brett Nommensen and Mike Sheridan each scored twice. Hak-Ju Lee had two hits and a walk. Scott Shuman followed Lobstein and finished a two-hitter.

Steve Tinoco had an RBI single and was twice hit by pitches. Hector Guevara doubled twice and Phil Wunderlich had two hits. Guevara was also hit by a pitch.
