Desmond Jennings was 3-for-5 with two steals and a run. Brandon Guyer threw out two baserunners at home. Russ Canzler had two hits, a walk, RBI and run. Robinson Chirinos walked twice, including once with the bases loaded. Jake McGee (3-1) gave up a leadoff home run in the bottom of the ninth.
Stone Crabs 4, St. Lucie 0Merrill Kelly tossed eight-plus innings, allowing five hits with no walks and 14 groundball outs. He plunked two batters. Hak-Ju Lee doubled twice, stole a base and scored. Josh Satow retired all three hitters he faced, struck out two and has a 1.65 ERA.
Hot Rods 6, Kane County 4Right fielder Cody Rogers came within a double of the cycle, scored three times and threw a runner out at first. Kevin Kiermaier had three hits, a steal, run and RBI.
