Wendt with Biscuits, not on active roster

Catcher David Wendt has joined the Biscuits, though he isn't on Montgomery's active roster. The 24-year-old was a 50th-round draft pick in 2009 and has a .268 average in 33 career games. With Jake Jefferies going down to high-A Charlotte, ostensibly so the former third-round pick can play more, Wendt becomes Montgomery's third catcher.
