First-rounder's dad: Rays welched on pre-draft deal

Victor Washington, the dad of Tampa Bay's unsigned first-round pick, LeVon Washington, says the Rays didn't follow a pre-draft deal made with the outfielder, reports the Gainesville (Fla.) Sun. LeVon, who didn't qualify at Florida, says he'll be back in the draft next year and tells the St. Petersburg Times that he's "done with it" and "it was their choice."
