Series, homestand finale ... finally

5:40: Officially, it's a rain delay. Unofficially, I'll say if there's any more rain, it'll be a rainout. It's sunny now, but there are storm cells headed in this direction.

5 p.m. update: Highly unlikely that the game will start on time. The infield is still quite moist and the grounds crew is feverishly working on it.

gA nice thundershower hit downtown about 30 minutes ago. The sun is now out and the tarp is off the infield, but there's standing water at third base, near the shortstop and second baseman's defensive positions and at the edge of the dirt in foul ground behind first. Drying agent is being generously applied.

It's the final day of Montgomery's 10-game homestand. The Biscuits face the Braves at 6:05 in the rubber game of their five-game series.
