Monday: Biscuits 3, BayBears 2

John Matulia’s bases-loaded single with two outs in the ninth gave the Montgomery Biscuits a 3-2 win over the Mobile BayBears on Monday. For a second straight day, the Biscuits scored twice in the ninth to win after Mobile had rallied in the top of the ninth to take the lead. Biscuits starter Jeremy Hall had an exemplary Double-A debut, just like teammate David Newmann on Sunday. Both pitched seven shutout innings and didn’t factor in the decision.
