Mauro Gomez knocked in three runs and hit his third home run of the season to help the Mississippi Braves beat the Biscuits 7-3 on Sunday in the second game of a doubleheader.
Eric Duncan scored twice and hit a two-run single for Mississippi Braves. Cody Johnson hit a solo homer and had two RBIs.
Biscuits starter Rayner Oliveros (0-1) allowed four runs on five hits in four innings. Ryan Reid gave up three runs on four hits in the fifth.
Montgomery’s Emeel Salem hit an infield single in the third and scored. He singled home Drew Anderson in the seventh.
