Matt Fields scored three times and hit his fifth home run of the season, a two-run shot in the eighth inning, to help the Biscuits beat the Mississippi Braves 6-3 on Wednesday. Montgomery won four games in its five-game series with the Braves.
The Biscuits took the lead in the seventh on an Emeel Salem two-run triple. Fields hit an opposite-field, two-run homer to right in the eighth to make it 6-3.
Fields sparked two-out rallies in the second and fourth innings. He singled in the second and scored on a Cody Strait single. He doubled in the fourth and came home on a Greg Sexton single.
