Jim Paduch threw seven shutout innings and struck out a season-high nine in the Biscuits' 10-1 win over the Tennessee Smokies on Monday. Paduch gave up just two hits -- both in the first inning -- and walked one.
Cole Figueroa and John Matulia each knocked in three runs. Figueroa and Stephen Vogt each scored twice. Figueroa's two-run single started the scoring in a four-run first inning. His RBI single in the sixth made it 10-0.
