David Wendt will go back on Montgomery's active roster.
The moves come after a second injury to a Tampa Bay catcher. Already without John Jaso, the Rays lost Jose Lobaton tonight. Lobaton left after nine innings of the Rays' game Sunday night with Boston -- a game that
"I'm excited to go," Ashley said. "It's going to be a good chance for me to go up there and continue to show what I can do. But I'll definitely miss this group of guys because we're so close."
Ashley played in seven games for Durham at the end of last season but returned to the Biscuits this year. After hitting a combined .244 the last two seasons for Montgomery, Ashley has a .280 average this year. He's also drawn a team-best 36 walks.
Ashley said he's scheduled to be in the lineup Monday night when Durham plays at Rochester.

Thats great for Nevin, he certainly was crushing AA pitching. Does this mean we get Jeffries back now?
