Jackson Generals infielder Brad Miller and right-hander Hector Noesi won the season's first Southern League player of the week awards.
Miller, through 10 games, has a .389 average with nine runs scored. He was 7-of-16 with six runs scored in the series with the Biscuits that ended Sunday.
Noesi has thrown 11 shutout innings over two starts. He beat the Biscuits on Friday, giving up three hits in five innings with two walks and seven strikeouts.
