Jake Hager tripled, singled, scored and was picked off. Richie Shaffer doubled and scored. Ryan Carpenter surrendered a run on five hits in six innings. He walked one and struck out six.
West Michigan 10, Hot Rods 7
Taylor Guerrieri threw four shutout innings with a hit, walk and strikeout. Eduar Quinonez bore a seven-run fifth inning. Andrew Toles doubled twice, singled, had four RBIs, scored and was caught thieving. Joey Rickard doubled, singled, was plunked, scored twice and GIDP'd.
