James Gillheeney gave up an unearned run over six innings to lead the Jackson Generals in a 7-1 win over the Biscuits on Sunday.
Montgomery's run came in the first inning when Todd Glaesmann singled home Mikie Mahtook, who had reached on an error.
The Biscuits finished with just three hits, all off Gillheeney (2-0), who walked three and struck out one..
Brad Miller walked three times and scored twice for the Generals. Francisco Martinez also scored twice, while James Jones had two RBIs.
Biscuits starter Victor Mateo (0-2) issued five walks and gave up four runs on four hits in five innings.
