Tennessee Smokies outfielder Tyler Colvin and Chattanooga Lookouts left-handed pitcher James Adkins won the Southern League's weekly awards.
Colvin was 11-of-27 with eight RBIs over the last week and won the hitter's award for the second time in August. Adkins, who also pitched for the University of Tennessee, threw 11 shutout innings and allowed eight singles.
