Alex Torres, acquired by the Rays on Friday, has already joined the Biscuits and feels like it's still Friday.
Torres was with the Arkansas Travelers for a series-ending game Friday night in Tulsa, Okla. He sat in the stands and charted because he was scheduled to pitch Sunday.
Told of the trade, he rode the team bus back to Little Rock, packed his bags and flew to Montgomery today. (He said he's supposed to make his Montgomery debut Monday.)
"I haven't slept yet," Torres said. "We got back at 4 a.m. and I had to pack my bags to come here, so it's been a long day."
