Left-hander Darin Downs is in the bullpen for the start of Montgomery's season. That answers the question we had when it seemed like there were six starters with the Biscuits. Downs was 12-4 with a Florida State League-leading 2.00 ERA last year before making two starts for the Biscuits.
Lefty Alex Torres throws Thursday's season opener, followed by righty Aneury Rodriguez, lefty Jake McGee, lefty David Newmann and righty Jeremy Hall.
The Biscuits also latched onto their favorite numbers today, at least their favorite numbers that were on a jersey that would fit them.
