Aneury Rodriguez is starting the Triple-A game with Darin Downs climbing the hill in Double-A.
Double-A, 2nd: Thanks to an outfield error, Downs faced a two-out situation with runners on second and third. A lineout to short ended the threat.
2:24 update: Technical issues had prevented updates. Apologies. Downs threw five shutout innings and Rodriguez allowed one run in five. Downs' wife and mom were here, too. Talked to them for a Sunday story and didn't focus on the games.
2:54: Rays win 5-3 in the Triple-A game. The Double-A game ended 0-0. I was up at the clubhouse talking to Downs and missed out.
