Biscuits should fall one short of team record

The Biscuits have stranded 15 baserunners through eight innings, which is one short of the team record. Since they're up 4-0 on the Mississippi Braves, they hope to not threaten it again. Oh, they tried, but a double play to end the bottom of the eighth snuffed out their best shot.

Montgomery stranded 16 on May 5, 2006 in a 13-inning home loss to Mississippi, and on June 12-13, 2009 in a 14-inning home win over Chattanooga. The 2009 game ended at almost 1 a.m.
