Top Arizona prospect won't see Montgomery

Mobile pitcher Jarrod Parker, Arizona's top prospect, won't be with the BayBears when they start a series at Riverwalk on Thursday.

Parker went on the disabled list today with tightness in his right elbow, is going to Phoenix to be evaluated and is expected to miss the rest of the season, according to a BayBears release. He was 4-6 with a 3.68 ERA with Mobile this season.

Parker last pitched Thursday and allowed five runs on eight hits, including two home runs, in four innings.

(Big thanks to Biscuits voice Jon Laaser for forwarding the release.)
