Frank De Los Santos threw 6 2/3 shutout innings of relief to lead the Charlotte Stone Crabs to a 2-1 win over Bradenton on Thursday in the decisive game of a Florida State League playoff series.
The Crabs advance to the best-of-5 league championship series and host the opener Friday. They'll face the Tampa Yankees in a rematch of last year's final won in five games by Tampa.
On Thursday, starter Alex Colome left after 1 1/3 innings (and a two-hour, 16-minute rain delay) before De Los Santos shut down the Marauders. Zach Quate worked the ninth to end it.
Down 1-0, Charlotte struck twice in the bottom of the second. Matt Hall singled home Mike Sheridan and Chris Murrill drew a bases-loaded walk to push in Jake Jefferies.
