Johnson: Can't play Game 5 without Game 4 win

Elliot Johnson, who scored Durham's winning run Thursday against Columbus, went through his "Bull Durham" cliches, right down to the sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains part.

There was one simple statement that summed up what the Bulls/former Biscuits face Friday: "We have to win tomorrow if we want to play the next day."

Paul Phillips, with the Biscuits until the final day of the regular season, is Durham's scheduled starter Friday.

The Bulls will benefit from a full night's rest. After Wednesday's Game 2 in Columbus, both teams jumped in a bus and drove all night. Durham got in about 6 a.m. It's the fourth time in the postseason the Bulls have made a long drive (to and from Louisville, to and from Columbus).

"It wasn't tough," Johnson said. "We have a job to do. Everyone knew we'd be playing today. We had to come out and do our job."
