The Jacksonville Suns, with a 3-1 win over the Tennessee Smokies on Saturday, finished off a four-game series victory and won their second straight Southern League championship.
The Suns have now won two straight Southern League titles, a feat last accomplished by the Biscuits in 2006-07. The Montgomery Rebels were the only previous team to do it. The Rebs won five championships in six years in the 1970s.
