Hudson Valley right-hander Jesse Hahn was the top pitcher in the New York-Penn League's week.
The 23-year-old right-hander gave up one hit over five shutout innings in a win Thursday at Connecticut (in his home state). He walked none, struck out six and recorded seven groundball outs.
It was Hahn's first win against two defeats this season -- and the first of his career. He has a 3.65 ERA and has given up just 31 hits in 37 innings.
Hahn, the first weekly award winner this year from the Renegades, was a sixth-round pick in the 2010 draft, but he had Tommy John surgery in August 2010 and missed all of last season.
