Mike Sheridan snapped an eighth-inning tie with his ninth home run to help the Biscuits beat Pensacola 4-2 in the opening game of a doubleheader Tuesday.
The Biscuits added an insurance run when Mark Thomas singled and scored on a Mikie Mahtook single.
Kyle Lobstein threw six shutout innings and gave up two hits before leaving with a 2-0 lead. Kirby Yates surrendered a two-out home run -- on an 0-2 count -- to Tucker Barnhart to tie it and force extra innings.
Wahoos speedster Billy Hamilton finished with four steals to set the all-time minor league record with 147 this season. In six weeks with Pensacola, Hamilton has 43 steals and leads the Southern League.
