The Biscuits gave up just one hit, an RBI single by Kyle Skipworth in the fourth inning, in a 1-0 loss to the Jacksonville Suns on Monday.
Biscuits starter Matt Buschmann worked a spectacular eight innings with the Suns only having runners reach in the fourth.
Jake Smolinski drew a leadoff walk and went to second on Zack Cox's one-out walk. A groundout put both in scoring position before Skipworth singled to right. Smolinski easily scored, but right fielder Mikie Mahtook threw out Cox at the plate.
The Biscuits, who finished with seven hits, dropped into second place in the South Division, one game behind Jacksonville.
