Mark Thomas' two-run double snapped a seventh-inning tie and helped the Biscuits take a 7-4 win over the Jacksonville Suns on Tuesday and avoid a five-game series sweep.
Montgomery and Jacksonville are tied for the Southern League South Division lead with five games remaining in the season.
Thomas doubled to the left-field corner, scoring Omar Luna from third base and Derek Dietrich from first, to break a 4-4 tie. Kyeong Kang later singled in Mike Sheridan.
The Biscuits erased a 4-1 deficit in the fifth inning. A Mikie Mahtook groundout brought in Ty Morrison before Dietrich cracked a two-run single. Dietrich knocked in Montgomery's first run with a bases-loaded hit by pitch in the third.
