Biscuits voice Joe Davis, before heading to ESPN, won the Southern League's broadcaster of the year award.
Davis is the first Biscuits announcer to win the league's award since Jim Tocco in 2006.
Davis just finished his third season with the Biscuits and has been hired by ESPN to broadcast college football, basketball and baseball. Aaron Vargas, his assistant this year, is replacing him with the Biscuits.
Davis, 24, joined the Biscuits after graduating from Wisconsin's Beloit College, where he played football. He's a native Michigander.
