Morning reading: Biscuits tackle football

Should be an interesting day at Riverwalk Stadium. The Biscuits could clinch a playoff berth and also play before the smallest home regular-season Saturday crowd in team history.

Why, you ask? Well, they're going head-to-head with the state's quasi religion: football. Auburn starts at 6, Alabama at 7 and the Biscuits at 7:05.

Their weakest regular-season Saturday is a 3,915 on Aug. 6, 2011.

Also, the Biscuits have two end-of-season Southern League All-Stars in Omar Luna and Hak-Ju Lee.

I rushed out of Riverwalk right after Friday's game for high school football reasons. Here is the statewide score list, the results of the ranked teams and early-season standings.
