Infielder Ben Kline, after hitting a robust .347 for the Gulf Coast League Rays, was named to the GCL's end-of-season All-Star team last week.
Kline, now with the Bowling Green Hot Rods for the Midwest League playoffs, had 16 RBIs and scored 14 times in 36 games.
Kline made the GCL team as a first baseman, but he started played all four infield positions and five games in left field. (The breakdown: 1B 9 games, 2B 8 games, 3B 7 games, SS 9 games.) The 23-year-old was a 32nd-round draft pick in June out of Embry-Riddle University, home of the Eagles.
