Matt Davidson knocked in four runs, Bradin Hagens threw seven shutout innings in his third Double-A start, and the Mobile BayBears rolled over the Biscuits 10-2 on Saturday.
Mobile took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-5 Southern League semifinal playoff series. The BayBears can clinch the series Sunday at Riverwalk Stadium.
Hagens gave up six hits, issued two walks and faced down just one serious scoring threat by Montgomery. Both of the walks and a Shawn O'Malley single loaded the bases with one out, but Mikie Mahtook hit into an inning-ending double play.
Chris Owings homered and Alfredo Marte doubled and scored in the first inning for Mobile. Davidson, who hit a solo home run in the third, added a three-run double in the sixth to make it 8-0.
The Biscuits broke the shutout when Mahtook doubled in O'Malley with two outs in the eighth inning. In the ninth, Mike Sheridan doubled and scored on a Craig Albernaz groundout.
Mobile showered the Biscuits with 17 hits, the second most surrendered by Montgomery this year. The BayBears had 18 in a 14-inning win at Riverwalk in July.
