Jake Thompson allowed no earned runs over six innings and the Biscuits clubbed three home runs in Monday's 5-1 win over the Birmingham Barons.
Robby Price and Mikie Mahtook hit back-to-back homers in the third inning to give Montgomery a 3-1 lead. Todd Glaesmann's leadoff homer in the sixth made it 5-1.
Thompson, after giving up an RBI single to Brandon Short with two outs in the first, retired 13 straight and didn't give up another hit. Only Cody Puckett, via an error in the fifth, reached base off Thompson after the first inning.
Robi Estrada was 2-for-3, including an RBI triple in the fourth inning, for the Biscuits.
