Biscuits infielder Ryan Garko, after tonight, will miss a few games to be with his wife, Christie, for the birth of their first child, a girl.
"As soon as I know mom and baby are healthy, I'll be right back," Garko said.
They're not settled on a name yet -- "my wife keeps going back and forth" -- but Garko is certain of one thing. His diaper-changing experience will soon blossom.
"I haven't dealt with too many babies," Garko said. "I'm sure I'll learn pretty quickly."
Garko will be the second Biscuit to have a baby this month, joining pitcher Jake Thompson.
