Wednesday's Rays roundup

Bulls 2, Norfolk 0
Chris Gimenez's
first-inning single was Durham's only hit. The Bulls scored in the sixth on a Gimenez bases-loaded walk and a wild pitch. Chris Archer went 6 1/3 innings, allowing three hits with two walks and eight strikeouts.

Palm Beach 7, Stone Crabs 2 (Game 1)
Cody Rogers
singled, walked, stole and scored. Braulio Lara gave up five runs in four-plus innings.

Palm Beach 4, Stone Crabs 2 (Game 2)
Robby Price
singled thrice, walked and scored. Todd Glaesmann just singled thrice. Jimmy Patterson threw three perfect innings with two strikeouts.

Hot Rods 12, Dayton 5
Ryan Brett
doubled, singled, walked twice and scored thrice. Drew Vettleson hit four singles with two RBIs and two runs scored. Jake Hager hit a two-run homer, singled, stole and scored twice. Charlie Cononie tossed five shutout innings, giving up one hit and one walk.

Renegades 11, Connecticut 0
Matt Spann
allowed two hits and two walks in six innings. Kris Carlson was perfect for two. Rob Finneran finished a three-hitter. Marty Gantt scored three times and Tommy Coyle hit a three-run homer. Richie Shaffer hit three singles, was hit, had two RBIs and two runs scored.

P-Rays 7, Danville 5
Andrew Toles
hit a solo home run, singled, had three RBIs and scored twice. Zach Butler threw 2 2/3 hitless innings. The Rays scored twice in the eighth on a double-throwing error by Danville.

GCL Rays 3, Red Sox 2
Rehabbing Isaias Velasquez doubled, singled twice, walked, stole twice and scored twice. Leopoldo Correa singled, walked, erred and had two RBIs. Stepan Havlicek threw four no-hit, no-walk innings.
