Chattanooga Lookouts infielder Luis Nunez and Mississippi Braves left-hander Jose Lugo were the Southern League's weekly award winners.
Lugo put together two nice starts for the week, though both were no-decisions.
On Tuesday at Jackson, he gave up one earned run over five innings and struck out a season-high seven. On Sunday, he set another season high with eight strikeouts and allowed just one hit over seven shutout innings against Huntsville. Lugo is 3-3 with a 3.14 ERA this season.
Nunez was 10-for-20 with two homers, five runs scored and six RBIs for the week. He has a .257 average and 10 homers this year.
