Matt Neil was the winning pitcher in his Biscuits debut Friday, helping Montgomery take a 3-1 victory over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.
The Biscuits picked up four wins in the five-game series at Pensacola and finished a 6-4 road trip. Montgomery opens a home series with Mississippi today.
Neil (1-0) allowed one hit over 2 2/3 innings in relief of starter Grayson Garvin.
Garvin, on a strict pitch limit due to elbow surgery in June 2012, worked three shutout innings for a second straight start. The left-hander gave up four hits with no walks and six strikeouts.
When Garvin left, the Biscuits led 2-0.
Cameron Seitzer's flyout brought in Taylor Motter with the first run in the first inning. In the second, Joey Rickard's flyout sent home Riccio Torrez, who had doubled.
The Wahoos scored in the fourth off Neil. Bryan Anderson hit a leadoff double and came in on Devin Lohman's two-out single.
Rickard gave the Biscuits a two-run lead in the ninth. He hit a leadoff double and scored on a two-out wild pitch.
