Jared Mortensen and two relievers combined on a six-hitter and Jeff Malm hit a grand slam in the Biscuits' 5-0 victory at Pensacola on Wednesday.
Mortensen (2-0) marked his second straight start of five shutout innings. He allowed four hits, walked three and struck out four. Jake Thompson threw three innings of one-hit ball and Santiago Garrido recorded a one-hit ninth.
The Biscuits scored in the fourth when Joey Rickard drew a bases-loaded walk to force in Richie Shaffer.
Malm's grand slam came with one out in the fifth inning.
After Willie Argo flied out, Curt Casali singled, Cameron Seitzer and Shaffer walked and Malm homered to right on a 1-2 pitch.
It came on the anniversary of the last Biscuits grand slam and was the 27th in team history. Mark Thomas hit a grand slam in a 9-3 home win over Mobile on April 16, 2013.
