Jaime Pedroza homered twice to lead the Birmingham Barons in a 9-2 season-opening win over the Biscuits on Thursday.
Pedroza hit one-out solo home runs in the second and fourth innings, marking his first two-homer game since 2007.
Micah Johnson, who hit the first pitch of the game for a triple and scored on an error, also homered in the second inning. Kevan Smith scored twice.
Willie Argo scored a first-inning run and homered with two outs in the fifth for the Biscuits, who have lost seven straight season openers. In the first, he walked and scored on a Richie Shaffer groundball.
